The small, repetitive act of peeling at its edges builds up like the frustration of life’s never-ending trivialities. And then, something shifts: as the object projects the artist’s inner conflicts, they transform in each moment they are let go. In the end, the tape is gathered into clusters, accompanied by the cheerful calls of the vendor—now it is no longer burdensome but something to share with delight.
