Insightful Conflicts: Artistic Thinking in Action
Forum with Live Performance
September 19 – October 6, 2024 (including one bilingual session)
New Taipei City, Taiwan
What if your inner conflicts weren’t obstacles,
but a source of transformation?
As the audience step into the venue, we step into an artist’s perspective—where conflict isn’t just struggle, but a creative force waiting to be explored.
The evening begins with the artist engaging in a dialogue with her own reflection, shifting seamlessly between voices and emotions—an intimate portrayal of the ever-changing nature of our inner world. Then starts a 30-minute performance, where a simple roll of red tape becomes a gateway into embodied intuition. As the artist interacts with the tape, new personas emerge, each revealing a different side of the self.
After the performance, a one-hour open conversation invites deeper reflection. The artist shares how she encounters these “characters of inner conflicts” in daily life, transforming tension into insight.
More than just a performance, this event offers a fresh perspective—one that lingers long after you leave.
The artist takes us on a journey through her inner world, fearlessly exposing the unspeakable emotions.
Isaac Myers, Actor & Language Coach
The performance was striking. The first character’s cries hit immediately—grief and desperation filling the room. As it progressed, the emotional landscape kept shifting, even touching on sensuality. The final character, a market vendor, felt like closure—like all those emotions had been gathered, acknowledged, and set down. From tension to resolution, the experience was unexpectedly cathartic. The post-performance discussion deepened my understanding and made me curious about how fleeting emotions could be translated into movement and presence. It made me want to try it myself.

The artist’s insights spark a process of reflection, and you take these reflections with you as you step out of the space.
